Once you have been shortlisted, applicants will be contacted via email with an acceptance letter and payment form. The student must accept the offer to enroll and will be given instructions on completing payment to be registered.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”When do I need to pay my registration fee?” style=”rounded” color=”turquoise” open=”true”]The registration fee is due upon confirmation that you are successful after review of all documents and upon accepting the offer to enroll.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the duration of the program?” style=”rounded” color=”turquoise” open=”true”]The program is a one (1) year comprehensive blended educational program with 9 months e-learning months with a 3-month apprenticeship period. During this apprenticeship period the student under supervision by the clinical instructor most independently scrub for several cases.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is the program full time, part-time or both?” style=”rounded” color=”turquoise” open=”true”]The program is part time with an adult learning concept. Each student must fulfill several contact hours. The Program timetable will be shared with students following orientation.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the program structure?” style=”rounded” color=”turquoise” open=”true”]A mixture of classroom, clinical and online learning. Students must attend 80% of each. The program will be broken down into the following components for the delivery of course content and learning:<\/p>\nVirtual Learning<\/strong> \u2013 This will be facilitated over a 9-month period.\u00a0 Courses and theoretical content will be delivered through a secure online learning platform that supports video lectures, discussion forums and digital assessments.<\/p>\nIn-person Training<\/strong> \u2013 Contact hours will be facilitated over a 3-month period. Practical lab training will be conducted face-to-face at the hospital.<\/p>\nClinical Rotations<\/strong> \u2013 This will provide real-world experience in various health care settings allowing students to apply their skills under the supervision of qualified professionals.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How will I be assessed?” style=”rounded” color=”turquoise” open=”true”]Assessment will be a combination of written examinations, practical skills assessments, peer assessments and clinical evaluations.<\/p>\nTo successfully complete the program, participants must attend 80% of classes and practicums and achieve at least 75% on a comprehensive final examination.[\/vc_toggle][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_toggle title=”What type of certification would I get at the end?” style=”rounded” color=”turquoise” open=”true”]At the end of the program, you would get a Certificate of Achievement in Scrub Technician or Anesthetic Technician, which would allow you to practice in any private hospital in Trinidad and Tobago.<\/p>\n

Our hospital will support in getting (Mantoux screen).[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the cost of the program?” style=”rounded” color=”turquoise” open=”true”]The Surgical Scrub Technician Program is priced at TTD $15,000, while the Anaesthetic Technician Program costs TTD $18,000.<\/p>\n
To make enrollment more accessible, a 6-month payment plan is available. Students are required to pay a 50% deposit at registration, with the remaining balance paid in equal monthly installments over five (5) months.<\/p>\n
