Dr. Denaesh Ariyanayagam graduated from the University of the West Indies in 1984 with HONORS in medicine and the GOLD MEDAL for clinical medicine.
In 1989 he obtained the designation of Fellow The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh FRCS (Ed).
In 1994 he was appointed a Consultant and Lecturer in Surgery at Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex until 2009.
He was the LEAD Vascular Surgeon of the Renal Transplant Unit.
Dr. Ariyanayagam has over 60 peer reviewed publications in regional and international journals and has presented in surgical conferences both regionally and internationally.
Dr. Ariyanayagam practices at St. Augustine Private Hospital. His areas of specialization in colorectal, endocrine, breast, and vascular procedures. He combines this with endoscopic approaches to the stomach and colon.
He is also an endoscopist performing gastroscopies and colonoscopies.
During the thirty-two (32) year span, Dr. Ari has performed more than 20,000 specialist surgical procedures.
